Antananarivo, Madagascar — The MenEngage Africa Youth Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2024 convened youth leaders, civil society organizations, and development partners from across the continent to deliberate on strategies for advancing gender equity, education, employment, and youth empowerment.

YARD-Liberia, Inc. was honored to represent Liberia’s youth network through its Executive Director, Mr. Dennis Kromah, who actively contributed to discussions and built meaningful partnerships with regional and international actors.

Highlights of YARD-Liberia’s Contribution

• Youth-Led Initiatives: Kromah shared Liberia’s experience in advancing youth-led programs that promote civic participation, peacebuilding, and social accountability. He highlighted how grassroots engagement is driving change in local communities.
• Gender Equity & Social Justice: Speaking on gender dynamics, he emphasized the need for youth networks to champion inclusivity, challenge harmful norms, and create safe spaces for girls and young women to thrive.
• Education & Employment: He underscored the urgency of addressing gaps in education and technical training, calling for stronger investment in TVET programs, entrepreneurship training, and digital skills to prepare Africa’s youth for the future of work.
• Partnership Building: Kromah used the platform to connect with regional partners, strengthening collaboration on shared priorities such as youth leadership, gender justice, and community resilience.

YARD-Liberia’s presence at the AGM elevated Liberia’s voice in continental youth movements, positioning the organization as an advocate for inclusive development and gender-responsive policies.
