About Us

Youth Alliance for Rural Development in Liberia (YARD-Liberia) was founded on June 1, 2017, by a group of young Liberians. The organization was registered as a national non-governmental organization on June 19, 2019, with Registration No:052286565. The incorporators of the organization are all youth who have the passion to address the issue of poor education, unemployment among youth and producing young community leaders. Since the organization formation we have partnered with many national and international organizations including United Nations Industrial Development Organizations (UNIDO), West Africa Civil Society Institute(WASCI), NAYMOTE-Liberia, National Elections Commission(NEC) Liberia, BudgIT-Liberia, Peace Revolution, Shareyourself.org, LIFT-Africa, World Peace Initiative, United Planet, MenEngage-Liberia, Voices Liberia, Real Women of Substance, West Africa ICT Network, Africans Rising, District #2 Development Council, Monrovia Peace Club, etc. to address issues of concern to youth

Our Mission

to ensure that youths and community dwellers have access to opportunities “to bridge the rural urban gaps”, by ensuring a healthy, strong and educated breed of young people from rural communities through advocacy and capacity building programs to put them on path with other young people across the globe.

What we do

We have provided youth leadership, Peace, civic education, entrepreneurship training, mental health awareness and advocacies in schools, to youth, and local areas in Harbel and other communities in Margibi County
