We believe that health is a fundamental human right and a cornerstone of sustainable development. As part of our key focus areas, we are deeply committed to advancing Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) and promoting Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) as critical aspects of youth empowerment and gender equity.
Through our health initiatives, we create safe spaces where young people especially girls and women can access accurate information, essential services, and the confidence to make informed decisions about their bodies and futures. We advocate for the elimination of stigma around menstruation, champion policies that protect reproductive health rights, and foster community-driven solutions that improve overall well-being.
Our role during the COVID-19 outbreak demonstrated YARD-Liberia’s unwavering commitment to public health. At the height of the pandemic, we led community awareness campaigns, engaged youth leaders in health advocacy, and supported efforts to ensure that lifesaving information and resources reached even the most vulnerable populations.
Beyond emergencies, YARD-Liberia continues to promote health education and advocacy on pressing issues from gender-based violence and adolescent health to preventive care and hygiene practices. By integrating health into our development agenda, we empower communities to build resilience, dignity, and hope for a healthier Liberia.
