Education: Empowering the Next Generation
We recognize that education is the foundation of sustainable development and social transformation. As one of our core focus areas, we are committed to advancing Goal 4 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
“Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.”
In Liberia, many young people continue to face barriers to accessing quality education due to poverty, limited resources, and systemic challenges. YARD-Liberia works to break these barriers by creating opportunities for learning, skills development, and mentorship ensuring that no child or youth is left behind.
Through our initiatives, we:
- Advocate for inclusive and equitable education at all levels.
- Support community-based learning programs that empower young people.
- Promote literacy, digital skills, and vocational training to prepare youth for the future.
- Partner with schools, communities, and stakeholders to strengthen the education system.
