That’s why Computer & Digital Literacy stands as a critical focus area during our mission to equip Liberian youth with the skills needed for academic success, employment, and civic participation. Through inclusive, hands-on training, we bridge the digital divide one learner at a time.

What We Do

• Tuition-Free Computer Training: In October 2023, YARD-Liberia launched a one-month tuition-free computer program in Margibi County. This initiative welcomed students, recent graduates, and adults, offering them essential digital competencies from core software applications to navigating computer systems with confidence. The program’s goal is to unlock opportunities regardless of financial background.
• Inclusive Access & Expert Instruction: The program is delivered at our dedicated, technology facility and led by experienced instructors. Its curriculum covers a range of skills from word processing and typing to internet navigation designed to meet diverse needs and elevate participants’ readiness for education, employment, and entrepreneurship
• Thought Leadership & Advocacy: Beyond training, YARD-Liberia stays engaged with national digital progress. At a 2024 Youth Empowerment event, our Executive Director, Dennis Kromah, lauded the government’s Liberia Digital Transformation initiative, urging youth to harness technology “responsibly, creatively, and inclusively,” turning digital “clicks into meaningful progress
